Truck we planning on buying is same height as Teton. 13' 3". Think Junkman is going to be around this height also. My DRV was high also and he has a lifted unit from factory. Don't believe sensors would be any help. they are too slow to respond to benefit any. I haven't hit anything in 8 years doing this full time
The 'FIT' height warning sensor is designed to make fork truck drivers aware of overhead obstacles. Alerts forklift drivers of dangerous encounters with low hanging equipment and doorway openings. Available in a single, double and a triple beam view. When unit activates, both lights and audible sound continuously until the beam is cleared.
A system for alerting drivers of vehicles which have an overall height too great to clear an overhead obstruction in their path. Respective pairs of cooperating light sources and light sensors are spaced at appropriate distances from each other and in advance of the overhead structure, with the light beam from each light source being directed to the corresponding light sensor with which such
Mounted overhead, the AutoSense system scans the roadway by taking 30+ range and intensity measurements across the width of a single lane via the two lasers beams emitted from the sensor. When a vehicle enters the beam, the measured distance decreases and the corresponding vehicle height is calculated using simple geometry.
May 29, 2021 · The Ideal Height for Garage Door Sensors. The sensors should not be placed more than six inches from the ground, which is the general rule. When the sensors are installed very high from the ground, low-lying objects like a child and a dog will not block the door from coming down.
A driver programmable read-out in the cab displays the hazards height. If the hazard is too low, a warning buzzer will sound, and the read-out will flash the low height. If there is enough clearance, the sensor continues to measure the height of the hazard as the truck passes under the hazard.
Overheight Warning System - Driver Awareness | TAPCO
When objects are too tall to clear the space ahead sensor beams trigger flashing lights and an audible alarm. Use for overhead doors and low hanging suspended objects like sprinklers and electrical conduit. Helps forklift drivers be aware of overhead obstructions and collision potential. Prevent serious structural or utility damage.
Over Height Vehicle Detection System | AD Engineering
Look Out Overhead Hazard Sensors provide warnings to alert forklift truck drivers that an overhead obstacle is in their pathway. The units are activated when an operator moves a load or mast lifted at a dangerous elevated height that could potentially collide with a building asset.
The system detects overheight vehicles moving toward obstacles such as bridges, tunnels and other overhead structures and individually warns drivers. An audible alarm and/or sign is activated when an overheight vehicle is detected by the system. Reduces damage to trucks/trailers and occupant injuries; Decreases damage to infrastructure
Although most overhead line related injuries were due to direct contact or contact through a handheld object such as a ladder, a significant number involved mobile equipment. For example, 316 (33.8%) of the 933 overhead power line injury narratives in CFOI (cited above) mention a truck or crane.
The GiraffeG4 helps RV and trucks avoid low clearance collisions. The GiraffeG4 prevents collisions by providing an exact height measurement of bridges, trestles, trees and awnings. Get peace of mind with the GiraffeG4 and its collision avoidance system.
In 2013, an over height truck in Washington State slammed into the overhead braces of bridge due to its height in excess of the permitted height. A section of the bridge collapsed sending two vehicles into the river below. The cost was substantial. The State of Washington sued the trucking company $17 million for the cost of repairing the bridge.
Aug 06, 2020 · Giraffe G4 Overhead Collision Alert System. This part is currently on Backorder with the manufacturer. Invented and developed by a truck driver with over 10 years experience on the road and around New York City, the Giraffe G4 is a system that addresses the overhead hazard problems that face a trucker everyday. RHL4 Miniature Laser Ride Height Sensor. The RHL4 Series of Miniature laser ride height sensors are designed to withstand the harsh environments of industrial or motorsport applications. the sensor has a small diameter visible laser which is reflected off the track surface to a precision CCd detector which determines the height from the ground.
A sensor system for substantially simultaneously measuring and detecting the verticality or perpendicularity of the forklift vehicle mast and the vertical height displacement of the forks. The sensor system then alerting the operator of the satisfactory assessment of the precondition alignment of the forks so that, without the need for visual checking of the vertical positioning of the forks
Jan 06, 2016 · This ensures that trucks shorter than the maximum truck height — 13 feet, 6 inches in most states — can pass underneath them safely. But a railroad bridge in Durham, North Carolina, provides a
